If we have the mindset that someone else will solve our problems for us, injustice will prevail and continue to worsen. Letting things just happen, will lead to a disastrous state if any injustice is present. This design embodies this idea. The snake was only at her ankles at one point. If she took the effort in removing herself from the snake, she may have been able to avoid her much worse current state.
